ARSENAL forward Joel Campbell is set to join Italian club Frosinone Calcio.

Campbell will put pen to paper on a three-year deal with the Serie A new boys, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

Frosinone are reportedly preparing to finalise the transfer ahead of Friday’s 8pm deadline.

head coach Unai Emery previously revealed Campbell was free to quit the club.

“We only have three players: Carl Jenkinson, David Ospina and Joel Campbell, with the possibility to leave,” Emery said on Friday.

Arsenal signed Campbell from Costa Rican club Deportivo Saprissa in 2011 but he did not receive a work permit until two years later.

He spent time on loan at Lorient, Real Betis and Olympiakos before impressing for Costa Rica at the 2014 World Cup.

Former manager Arsene Wenger included Campbell in his first-team squad but managed just 10 appearances before being loaned to Villarreal for the second half of the 2014/15 season.

Campbell managed 30 appearances for Arsenal in the following campaign before spending the 2016/17 season on loan at Sporting Lisbon.
