According to The Mirror, via The Daily Star, English Premier League side, West Ham are weighing up a move for Manchester City striker Tyrese Campbell.
London clubs West Ham and Arsenal are both believed to be interested in the young and promising striker, who is set to quit Premier League giant Manchester City next month when his schoolboy contract ends at the club. It is believed that Tyrese Campbell has rejected scholar terms at Manchester City as he doesn’t have faith in Manchester City’s system to develop him.
This latest development has led to interest from both London clubs West Ham and Arsenal, who would be willing to bring him over to their respective club academies.
Young Campbell is fearing that the arrival of New manager Pep Guardiola, who is likely to spend big next season, at City could stunt the younger player’s development. This is why he is ready to leave.
It is believed West Ham would have to pay a compensation fee to Manchester City if they were to sign him, as he is under 23-years-old. Campbell is only 16-years-old.
Wenger should catch them young like he use to do and Arsenal will likely beat West ham to the signing of the Manchester City youngster. Wenger has the reputation of giving young players opportunity.
