According to the Metro who cites Kicker, claim Arsenal are closing in on completing a deal for Sokratis Papastathopoulos as he could be the first signing under new boss Unai Emery.
Kicker confirmed the experienced centre-back is on his way to London to undergo medicals at North London Colony on Monday.

The report further claims a fee of around €17m could be reached with the defender set to sign a three-year deal that will keep at Unai Emery’s new club until 2021.
Sokratis only has a year left on his contract with the Bundesliga outfit and wants to leave this summer.
He has agreed terms with Arsenal and could now become Unai Emery’s first signing.
The 29-year-old was signed from Werder Bremen in 2013.
