Arsenal were missing prolific goalscorer since the departure of Robin van Persie and Wenger solved the dilemma by signing Giroud.
Frenchman has been fantastic for Gunners since when he joined North Londoners giant but he is not getting any younger and Wenger must look for someone who will eventually replace the 30-year-old striker.
In such a scenario, once again Tottenham star Harry Kane is in the limelight.
According to reports (Calcio Mercato) Wenger wants Kane as a long term replacement for the French superstar and Arsenal are ready to splash as much as 80 million pounds to sign the 23-year-old center forward this winter.
Last month, Kane signed a new deal with Tottenham worth (Football65) £125,000-a-week ($154,000-a-week).
The former Leicester player was the leading goalscorer in the Premier League last season and has been in top form for Spurs under Pochettino. He is the No.1 striker for Mauricio and lately the Argentine manager has praised Kane as a “brilliant” player (Standard)
This campaign, he has netted 10 goals in 14 league appearances for Tottenham and Giroud has scored 5 goals in 12 league games.
Levy did not sell the likes of Modric and Bale to Arsenal and it is highly unlikely that he will let Kane leave for Emirates.
