One time Arsenal target Younes Belhanda has revealed his desire to grace the turf of the Premier League.
“For now, all is well (in Ukraine) the adjustment period was a bit tricky with the language and the country change, as I had been ten years before at Montpellier,”.
“I was in my cocoon and I needed a new motivation to move ahead. I did not have other contacts [with other clubs] last summer.
“When I got the call from the President of Kiev, he wanted to meet me at Monaco.
“As soon as he introduced me to his project, I didn’t hesitate. I signed without complexes.
“My dream is to play in England, but maybe I did not do the right thing last year to attract big clubs. The Kiev coach put me directly in number 10. He recruited me for this. He told me that we had to do better than last year.” (Daily Star)
Guess it’s time for regrets Belhanda. You didn’t only fail to play well last season, you fluffed your chance of moving to a top club when you rejected a Premier League switch ( Arsenal and Liverpool) to move to Ukraine. I wonder which reasonable player that really wants to advance his career moves there.
Arsenal wanted him to help Giroud’s integration after they both formed a leather partnership in the title winning season at Montpellier but since we didn’t get him, we have moved on, got better players Cazorla and Ozil and Giroud seems to be enjoying playing with them. Thanks for the come and get me plea but sorry, we are not interested. You could try Rodgers.
