Arsenal have completed yet another major transfer business and this time, the deal is done and dusted, not just one of those media reports. According Spanish club Granada has officially confirmed a 1-year loan deal for Arsenal’s youth attacking midfielder Jon Toral.
The wonder who has been tagged the next Cesc Fabregas by Emirate fans, joined the Gunners youth academy in the summer of 2011 from la liga champions Barcelona.
According to a tweet on Granada C.F. (@GranadaCdeF_en) twitter handle yesterday, the talented young midfielder Jon Toral has joined #GranadaCF on loan from @Arsenal for the 2016/17 season.
The talented youngster got promotion in 2014 and was sent on loan to Brentford and Birmingham City for the 2 following seasons respectively.
It is almost impossible for Jon Toral to break into Arsenal’s first team with the presence of Mesut Ozil, Aaron Ramsey, Jack Wilshere and Alex Iwobi, in the current Arsenal squad, and hence will be spending yet another season out on loan at Spanish club side Granada.
At Brentford, he made 34 league appearances and scored 6 goals. However, he enjoyed more success at Birmingham, scoring 8 goals in 36 appearances.
Toral, who has an English mother, has made the bench of the Spanish National Team at U-17 and U-19 level. He also has the opportunity to represents England also by the virtue of having an English mother.
