Although Arsenal have failed to bolster their attack and defense in this transfer window, but the club have been busy adding prospective world class players to the her ranks.
According to latest reports, Arsenal’s scouts have identified Benfica youngster Diogo Goncalves as a possible transfer target and they will attempt to complete a deal for the 19-year-old Portuguese attacker before the close of the window.
The player is yet to make his debut for Benfica at senior level but has been tipped to breakthrough to the Benfica first team this year after impressing during his 48 appearances for the club’s B team.
There is no deal currently on cards for the player but he would not struggle to get a work permit unlike Asano Takuma. A deal for the player would make more sense.
The impressive forward can be deployed on the wing or play as a striker and has been tipped to come good.
The 19-year-old caught the attention of scout Gilles Grimandi in the UEFA Youth League last season and is now being closely followed by fellow scout Luis Boa Morte
