It’s no more news that Arsene Wenger is looking for a striker (or maybe two or more) to add to his squad. The lack of a goal-scoring frontman was the major problem he had last season and will be looking to solve that problem before the new season begins.
With the possibility of Giroud leaving and with Welbeck out for the most part of next season with a knee injury, Wenger has set his sights on 23-year old Alvaro Morata.
And reports making the rounds say that Arsenal have made a bid of €50m to Real Madrid. Morata who is currently a Juventus player, signed for the Old Lady from Real Madrid. But according to The Mirror, Real Madrid are set to activate a buy-out clause which they included in the Spanish striker’s contract when he signed for the Italian giants two years ago.
It expected that Madrid will sell Morata to whoever is willing to buy for immediate profit and it seems Arsenal is ready to pounce. Italian journalist Tancredi Palmeri who works for beIN Sports, claims that Arsenal have presented a €50m – £38.7m – bid to the Spanish giants.

It is reported by AS that Morata does not know what will happen yet and his agent has contacted officials in Real today to know whether he will be bought or sold. AS also confirm that Arsenal is Morata’s likely destination
