There is bad news for Arsenal fans today as reports coming from France are claiming Arsenal’s summer signing Yaya Sanogo has been sent back to the club from the France Under 21. Sanogo was signed on a free transfer from France’s second division club Auxerre.
The France under 21 striker suffered a back strain while on national team duty and has now been sent back to Arsenal where he will undergo intensive treatment at the club’s training facilities to try to regain his fitness in time for Arsenal’s match against Sunderland.
Should be player not be fit on time for the match away to Sunderland on Saturday, Arsenal will have to do with Olivier Giroud as the only recognize striker with Podolski out injured and Walcott seeing as a winger rather than a striker.
With the injury, Wenger’s inability to secure a striker in the just concluded transfer window is set to come back to hurt Arsenal’s performance in the premier league.
