The first decade of Arsene Wenger’s Arsenal career was trophy laden but the contrast has been the case for the last 10 years.
Mesut Ozil has revealed that Jose Mourinho is a perfectionist and that his attention to detail has allowed him to become a ‘special’ coach.
Ozil previously revealed details of a clash with the 54-year-old in which Mourinho labelled him a ‘coward’ in a fiery encounter during their time together at the Santiago Bernabeu.
But when asked about it, Ozil only had positive things to say of the United boss.
‘We were in the lead at half time. I was pleased with how the game went,’ he told Bild.
‘In his opinion, we, especially I, could have done much better.
‘Mourinho is a special coach. A perfectionist.
‘He has a good sense of the human being and does nothing without careful thought.
‘He wanted to provoke me so that I could learn from it and get better.’
