“Why I Did Not Complete Arsenal Move” – Rodriguez REVEALS

After the signing of Granit Xhaka earlier in the summer, Wenger became slothfull in the transfer market and we were linked to virtually all the available players in Europe.

Report according to Skysports claims Wolfsburg left-back Ricardo Rodriguez, who was linked to Arsenal and Manchester City, says he was close to making a  move but for destiny.

He is valuated at 21.2million Pounds but non of his suitors could match his asking price, including Arsenal.

Speaking about his supossed proposed move, the 24-year-old Switzerland international said.

“I guess it was just meant to be this way. God wanted it this way.”

He told Switzerland’s Blick newspaper:

“You just need the right timing for a transfer and it’s a fact that during the transfer window, there were hardly any transfers of players in my position.”

Rodriguez believes he is worth the price tag placed on him by Wolfburg, adding  that, “ I don’t think 25million euros is too much for me.

“I am only 24 and I already have four years of experience as a regular in the Bundesliga and the national team, and over 40m euros has been spent on players with less going for them.

“To be honest, I don’t think any footballer is worth so much, but these are the mechanics of professional football.”.
