Arsenal retained their top spot in the Champions League, thanks to goals for Granit Xhaka, Oliver Giroud and Mesut Ozil.
Arsenal were stunned in the first 20mins of the game and were already 2goals down but the Gunners staged a spirited come-back and it was Mesut Ozil’s goal that pushed Arsenal back to their lead.
SHKODRAN MUSTAFI has joked that he doesn’t want to build up Mesut Ozil’s ego after his Champions League heroics.
Speaking about his fellow German, Mustafi said: “I don’t want to say too much because it will get in his head and he’s going to think he’s the best again!
“No, we know his qualities. He is incredible. He is calm in front of goal, I think I would have just taken the first touch and shot from 20 yards away!
“But he stays cool, he has the calmness and finishes off brilliantly.”
Mustafi also has little interest in talking about Arsenal’s hopes in the competition with his focus solely being on the north London derby against Tottenham on Sunday.
“I say after every game that there is no point in thinking too far ahead because you have two or three days between games and there is no time to think about the Champions League anymore,” he told Arsenal.com.
“The game is finished now and in three days you have another one.
“The next game is Tottenham and that’s going to be important as well at home, so we are focused for that one now.”
