Injuries are usually part of the game of football but for Arsenal, it used to be a curse and not just a part of the game.
However, this season has been good for Arsenal on the injury front – Arsene Wenger says Alexis Sanchez is in good shape for the Premier League clash with Middlesbrough on Saturday.
Arsenal thrashed Ludogret in the Champions League this Wednesday but Sanchez was substituted early in the second half, and not before he scored a sublime first half goal.
Wenger opted to bring Sanchez off midway through the second half and his substitution sparked fears that he could have suffered an injury of some sort.
Nonetheless, Wenger has played down every injury concerns when he spoke to the press after the match.
Speaking at his post-match news conference on Wednesday night, Wenger said: “I just wanted to give him a breather. He looks alright physically.”
Arsenal are currently second in the Premier League table and level on points with leaders Manchester City after eight games of the season.
