There are reports from German this morning claiming Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is convinced he has a chance of convincing Borussia Dortmund’s Lewandowski to join Arsenal in the January transfer window. Just yesterday, reports have it that the Polish striker has changed his mind about going to Bayern Munich after considering the sort of competition he will have at Bayern Munich.
Wenger is now thought to be prepared to bid for the player and he is encouraged by the fact that Lewandowski is an Arsenal fan and Dortmund’s eagerness to sell the player aboard instead of to a direct rival.
Lewandowski was thought to be on his way to Bayern Munich with reports claiming he already signed a pre-contract with Bayern Munich but few months later, new reports claim the player has changed his mind and his open to bids from other clubs.
With Arsenal in the market for a new striker, it will not be out of place if the gunners’ boss makes a bid for the striker come January.
