Wenger To Break Arsenal’s Transfer Record In January – Reports

Arsenal manager is set to bolster the Arsenal squad once the January transfer window opens. Daily mirror sources believe Khedira who was close to joining Manchester United in the last transfer window has set his mind to moving to Arsenal in January as Real Madrid continue to dither in offering him a new contract with his current deal having 18 more months to run.

Wenger had signed Ozil on a 42.5 million pounds deal in the last transfer window but if Mirror are to be believed, Wenger is not yet done with signing Real Madrid players and he is been encouraged by Khedira’s representatives who have told him their client, Khedira has decided he wants to join Arsenal and not Manchester United after the gunners completed the signing of his former team mate Ozil.

Aside Khedira, Mirror are also reporting the Gunners are looking to spend as much as 40-45 million on Manchester United’s Wagne Rooney in January as the gunners are prepared to break their transfer record again in January. You can read more on the Rooney rumours here.
