As we eagerly await the game between Arsenal and Chelsea, Arsene Wenger has made some revelations about his key striker Oliver Giroud.
Giroud had been sidelined with a toe injury and it was suggested by Arsene Wenger earlier this week that the French goal poacher would not be available for selection today.
However, the Arsenal manager has now revealed that the French international could actually play on today as long he passes a late fitness test.
“We have no new injuries [ahead of Chelsea game]. Olivier Giroud has a test to see if he can be involved [on Saturday], he had a good training session [on Thursday] so he is really the only one who could come back.
“A little bit [ahead of schedule], yes, because I thought that he would be short for [the Chelsea game]. But we will see how he comes out of today’s training session.”
