Wenger ready to hand this player a surprise start on Saturday – Report

Arsene Wenger is considering the option of making a surprise change to Arsenal’s defensive unit according to emerging reports.

The Gunners are preparing for a clash against an in-form Hull City side this weekend after suffering back-to-back defeats against Watford and Chelsea.

hose losses have seen Petr Cech receive some strong criticism for his performances with the team conceding five goals in the process.

The former Chelsea goalkeeper apologised on twitter after his error gifted Cesc Fabregas a goal last weekend and that could still prove costly when it comes to keeping his spot in the first eleven.

According to the Daily Star, Wenger is now considering the idea of dropping Cech and starting David Ospina in the upcoming match against Hull.

The report claims that the Arsenal manager, along with the club’s coaching staff, have not been impressed by the 34-year-old’s form in recent weeks.

If Wenger does choose to start Ospina on Saturday, it would be a decision similar to the one which saw Wojciech Szczesny lose his place as the team’s first choice goalkeeper two seasons ago.

Below is the moment which has raised more concerns about Cech…
