Arsenal have had four points in their last two games and it has been without Germany international Mesut Ozil.
Mesut Ozil missed Arsenal’s game against Crystal Palace due to illness and speaking ahead of the Bournemouth game, Arsene Wenger revealed that he has not set his sight on Ozil for up to a week.
He hasn’t featured since the 1-0 win against West Brom on Boxing Day and came under fire for his displays in back-to-back defeats against Everton and Manchester City prior to the festive period.
“I haven’t seen [Ozil] for a week,” Wenger told Sky Sports before the Bournemouth fixture.
“It was an easy decision [to not include him]. He is still in bed.
“He’s not available and I don’t think he will be available for the next game as he hasn’t done anything for a week.”
Ozil had revealed on new year’s day that he is in Turkey with the following picture.
