Arsene Wenger has fueled speculation about a January move for Atletico Madrid forward Diego Costa. The Brazilian born striker leads the La Liga scoring charts this season and has been linked with a move away.
Liverpool failed with a £23 million offer for Costa in the summer and now Arsenal have entered the race for his signature.
“He had already grabbed my attention last year through his determination, his strength to move forward.”
“He also possesses technical quality and a cool head when carrying out his finishing touches.”
“For a long time, he was loaned out because he couldn’t find his place. But over the last two seasons he has really moved up a notch.”
“The departure of Falcao has given him space. The team plays for him and we can all see the talent he possesses.”
“There is something animal in his determination, in his hunger. You can feel that he is a player who, before arriving at a very high level, has fed his thirst and his hunger.”
Costa has admitted he is happy with life at the Vicente Calderon but that wont stop the speculation linking him with a move away, especially with Wenger openly admitting his liking of the forward.
The striker, who recently rejected a call-up to Brazil in favour of playing for Spain, has scored more league goals than Cristiano Ronaldo & Lionel Messi this season and is favourite to lead the attack for the World Champions at the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
