Arsenal look set for a busy period in the transfer window over the next week as reports suggest two major signings are edging closer to a move to the Emirates Stadium.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato reports that the Gunners are set to land Riyad Mahrez from Leicester City, with the report claiming an announcement regarding a deal for the Algerian ace will be made soon.
Mahrez excelled with Leicester City during their title winning campaign in 2015/16 and continued his fine performances in the Champions League last season, where the Foxes stood as British football’s final side in Europe’s elite competition.
However, the 26-year-old is pushing for an exit this summer and Leicester will not stand in his way- and Arsenal are prepared to complete a move having eyed the talented winger for a number of years, as part of an impressive double signing.
The Gunners have already secured Sead Kolasinac on a free transfer from Schalke and are closing in on a club-record move for Lyon forward Alexandre Lacazette, which means Mahrez would be the cherry on the cake in what has been an incredible summer so far.
