Given the vulnerability of Arsenal players to injury, Arsene Wenger may be forced to yet again bolster his attack when the January transfer window comes alive.
According to reports, Arsenal have been keeping tabs on Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne and we will attempt to sign him in January.
Arsenal have been linked with the player in the past but Italian newspaper 11 Messaggero claims Arsenal a planning a January swoop for him.
However, Arsenal are not alone in the chase of the player. Liverpool, Tottenham and Wolfsburg are reportedly rooting for the striker’s signature.
“The 25-year-old has seen negotiations over a new contract with the Italian club stall.
Starsport understands the striker is demanding a whopping £100,000 a week.
And he was left in tears earlier this month after being jeered by Napoli supporters following a penalty miss against Besiktas in the Champions League.
Potential suitors will need deep pockets if they want to do a deal.
Napoli have already stressed that they will demand around £44m to part with their prized asset.
Wenger is notoriously cautious with cash and might be reluctant to cough up the mammoth fee.
Insigne has bagged 22 goals in 131 appearances for the Naples based outfit.
