That’s the view of journalist Emanuele Giulianelli.
The Gunners are said to be making their third bid for the Monaco star, with Arsene Wenger a huge fan of the 21-year-old.
And according to Giulianelli, Monaco want £53m (€60m) for the France international, who is keen to make the Emirates switch.
He tweeted: “Monaco have said they want £53m (€60m) from Arsenal for Lemar.
“Player pushing for the move. Confirmed. #AFC.”
Wenger is keen to spend big this summer and mount a Premier League title charge next season.
The Frenchman has already landed Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette in a £52m deal and Wenger has now turned his attention to Lemar.
And Starsport understands that Arsenal are hoping to use Lacazette in their pursuit of the Monaco sensation.
Lemar is close friends with the Gunners’ new record signing and Wenger hopes this could help swing the deal in their favour.
