Arsenal goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczesny has challenged the club to finish the week on a high with another huge result at Old Trafford on Sunday. The Gunners engage David Moyes’ Red Devils in the late kick-off game on Super Sunday, in a game both teams can’t afford to lose, for many reasons.
The 23-year old Pole has now kept two clean sheets in a road and believes his side have what it takes to make it 3 shut-outs from 3 which would mean Arsenal go into the international break once again on a high.
“It’s been a good week for us so far,” Szczesny told Arsenal Player. “[We’ve had] two clean sheets and two results against two quality opponents, one away from home at one of the toughest venues in Europe, I believe.
“Real Madrid got battered here [in Dortmund] last year so it’s a good feeling to come out of here with three points. We’re looking forward to Sunday and we’re going to try and make it a perfect week.
“It would be an amazing week to get nine points out of the three games. Probably not a lot of people expected us to do so. There’s not a better time for us to go to Old Trafford, we’re confident, we’re enjoying our football, so we’re looking forward to it.”
The Gunners have lost in their last three games at Manchester United, conceding 11 times, and would be looking to restore some pride, especially after the 8-2 loss to the champions in August 2011. With the club looking ruthless in front of goal in the league having scored 22 times so far, another clean sheet for Szczesny might just prove the trick.
