Wayne Rooney, Angel Di Maria and Julio Cesar To Become Gunners This Week?

Arsenal are eyeing up a triple deal to complete their summer spending. The club’s £70 million has yet to be used but Arsene Wenger is prepared to splash out in the final week of the window.

The Gunners have only managed to bring in 20-year old Yaya Sanogo on a free transfer from Auxerre despite being linked with moves for Gonzalo Higuain, Luis Suarez and Luiz Gustavo.

The North Londoners have made Wayne Rooney, Angel Di Maria and Julio Cesar their top targets ahead of a hectic final week of the transfer window. The Gunners have been looking for a striker and a goalkeeper all summer but also want to add another creative player following the departures of Gervinho and Andrey Arshavin.

Following the clubs opening day defeat to Aston Villa, Arsenal lodged a £10 million bid for Yohan Cabaye which was rejected. The player has since refused to play for Newcastle hoping to force a move to Arsenal but Wenger has yet to make a second bid, he has also been linked with Di Maria and Real Madrid team-mate Karim Benzema.

The club have also been linked with Cesar all summer. The ‘keeper’s comments about London made Arsenal favourites to land him but Napoli were almost close to clinching a deal before they opted for Pepe Reina instead. Wenger has failed to close the deal for the Brazilian but is set to finally end the saga by completing a £3 million deal.

Rooney has also been a long-term target for Arsenal but Manchester United’s unwillingness to sell along with Chelsea’s interest had all but killed off any chances of a transfer but Wenger has new belief that he can overtake Chelsea and persuade the current Premier League champions to sell the forward to give Arsenal’s frustrating summer a good ending.

  1. These days I pity journalists who engage in speculating possible Arsenal transfers. They sometimes surprise you with attractive headlines of “terms agreed”, Ärsenal closing in on…”, Flying for medical”etc”. All these are contrary to realities on the ground. Recall the time we started the transfers window the headlines were so common. Arsenal normally buys on the transfer deadlines – including players that never do medicals before signing like Park…

  2. Hope all these rumor will soon end because am not sure this club called Arsener is ready to do any business at all few days to the end of transfer market nothing reasonable has been done by the club management and the Fake Manager called Wenger.

  3. Good read for sure, but we all know the reality of things when it comes to our manager, the board and transfers. Its always,’ all talk but no action’!!
To avoid heart aches for the ever supportive fans, better to we all play the wait and see game but should they NOT this time………….hhhmmmmm!!!! I shudder.

  4. WE ARE TYIRED OF HEARING THIS TYPE OF SPECULATIONS, AND I DO NOT HAVE ANY TRUST ON ARSEN & THOSE GREADY BOARD MEMBERS WHO DON”T HAVE CARE 4 LOVELY GUNNER SUPPORTERS

  5. Another shitty write up. Gone are the days when I’d be excited reading things like this.
Deep down, most of us know this made-up shit(deals) designed to excite/frustrate arsenal fans won’t happen.
