Arsenal need a major overhauling from the management to their team if they are to make any significant progress.
ARSENAL youngster Nathan Tella has revealed he has been on trial at Southampton and is hopeful of signing for the Saints.
Tella is out of contract at Arsenal and has been told he won’t be given a new deal.
The 17-year-old has been linked with a move to Championship sides Norwich and Reading in the last week.
He was invited to train with the Canaries after Arsenal gave him permission to find a new club.
And now it looks like Southampton are interested in the winger.
Tella spoke of his trial at the south coast club in the matchday programme ahead of Arsenal’s last-16 Champions League clash with Bayern Munich last night.
He wrote: “I’m working hard in games and training and have been on trial with Southampton, Reading and Norwich, and all the teams have said that they want me back to have another look with a view to offering me a professional contract.
“I will be at Southampton this week and hopefully they like what they see and I can continue to build my career.”
The Nigerian has played nine times for Arsenal’s under-18s this season, scoring once.
He is yet to feature in a first-team squad and hasn’t even played in the club’s under-23 side.
