Piers Morgan has told new Arsenal manager Unai Emery to sell Granit Xhaka and Shkodran Mustafi this summer, according to the Express.
The Spanish boss was unveiled as the new Arsenal manager on Wednesday, after agreeing terms to a three-year deal at the Emirates.
He is expected to reshape the current squad, after they finished sixth under Arsene Wenger last season, but will have only a reported £50 million transfer kitty to work with, which means he may have to sell some players if he is bring in a number of players.
Arsenal celebrity fan Piers Morgan has adviced him to sell Granit Xhaka and Shkodran Mustafi after the two massively underwhelmed last season. He even offered to help sell them. “I’m happy with it, he’s a proper manager,” Morgan told Sky Sports News.
“Great record, three European trophies in the last five years. He’s just won the treble at PSG.
“Arsenal fans should get right behind this guy, he’s a winner. He’s intense, he’s driven, he’ll get into that dressing room, he’ll sort them out.
“Hopefully ship out the deadwood, and if he can’t find a buyer for Xhaka and Mustafi, I’ll find one for him.”
