Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has made bare his mind on the summer transfer window of rival clubs Manchester United and Manchester City.
Among the top Premier League clubs, Arsenal have been less busy in the window per the signing of first team players.
United shattered the world transfer record and landed France international Paul Pogba. The deal for the Pogba came after the signing of Ibrahimovic, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Eric Bailly.
City meanwhile have signed Germany international of Turkish origin IIkay Gundogan as Nolito, Leroy Sane, Gabriel Jesus and John Stones. Chelsea, have made big money signings in Michy Batshuayi and Premier League champion N’Golo Kante.
Meanwhile, bar the signing of Granit Xhaka, Arsenal are yet to complete the signing of any other first team players.
Ozil appeared to take a swipe at Arsene Wenger’s transfer policy in a recent interview on German website Spox.
“All the clubs have invested heavily, not only on world-class players, but also on world-class coaches who have been brought into the league,” Ozil said.
Since Ozil was signed to Arsenal in 2013, Wenger has signed only two outfield players – Sanchez was signed in the penultimate season while we added Xhaka this season and this raises questions over Arsenal’s ambition.
You cannot dismiss the possibility that Mesut Ozil is keenly observing our transfer activities, to see if the club will add quality players that can guarantee winning titles
