Arsenal left it late against West Brom yesterday when Mesut Ozil inch-perfect pass found Oliver Giroud and the French gave us the only and winning goal.
Arsenal right back Hector Bellerin has revealed Nacho Monreal is his best friend and that he also has helped him to become one of the finest right-backs in the world.
The 21-year-old regularly plays on the opposite side of Arsene Wenger’s defence to the former Malaga star and both have become important parts of the team.
And Bellerin has attributed his own breakthrough into the first team was aided by the advice and nurturing of the 30-year-old left-back.
‘My best friend at the club is probably Nacho, not only because we play in similar positions,’ Bellerin told the Sun.
‘He has given me loads of advice. We really connect outside the pitch, he’s a great person.
‘He is just a normal guy who happens to play football. That is what I really like about him, and what everyone really likes about him.
‘There’s so many special guys at the club. I’m together with the Spanish guys every day, not only at the training ground.
‘We see each other a lot outside of there too.’
