Many Arsenal fans and neutrals agree Arsenal could do with the signing of a striker and it appears Wenger agrees hence Arsenal triggered the release clause of Jamie Vardy and now that Vardy is set to stay with Leicester City after agreeing to sign a new four years deal, Arsenal have moved one to their other targets in the striking position.
According to reports from the Italian media via talksport Arsenal have embarked Inter Milan and Argentina international striker Mauro Icardi as the ideal signing for the Gunners this summer. This won’t be the first time the Argentine is linked with a move to Arsenal. He was last summer thought to be on his way to the Emirates but instead he chose to sign a new deal with Inter Milan.
Fast forward nine months later, the player could leave Italy for Arsenal as Inter Milan won’t be playing in the Champions League next season and the player himself has revealed he will like to player in the Champions League.
Icardi who has scored 52 times in 105 games for Inter Milan ( which is impressive for a league as defensive minded as the Serie A ) could be a great signing for Arsenal. He is typical South American striker and considering he is said to be available for less than £30 million, he will be a cheap option and could go on to become world class under Wenger.
