Steve McMahon a former Liverpool player turned TV pundit has sensationally claim Luiz Suarez will still seek to leave Liverpool should the opportunity arise. The 26 year old’s future was up in the air in the last transfer window with constant reports linking him with both Arsenal and Real Madrid after he went public with his desire to leave the Anfield club.
Arsenal were reported to have had 2 bids rejected by Liverpool for the services of the Uruguayan during the just concluded transfer window as Liverpool were reportedly not interested in strengthening a rival.
However, Steve McMahon who played for a couple of years for Liverpool scoring a total of 29 league goals for the reds is of the believe that the striker still has his hearts set on moving away from Liverpool.
“You don’t know whether you can trust him,” McMahon told talkSPORT. ”If he had the opportunity to jump ship, do you think he’d do it? The obvious answer is yes.
“He’s just biding his time. He wants to get another good season under his belt and then he’ll see what opportunities there are to leave Liverpool [next summer].”
With Arsenal failing to secure a striker in the just concluded transfer window, it will not be surprising if Wenger tries harder to sign the player in January.
