Stats In Picture – Mesut Ozil Worst Arsenal Player Vs Burnley?

Arsenal failed to replicate their display against Chelsea and Basel in out Premier League game against Burnley yesterday.

One player stood out with his ‘terrible’ performance yesterday and it was Mesut Ozil – although, most of the players were turned off during the game, but you’d certainly expect more from Ozil.

It is said that his display when you watch him live in the Stadium is always far better than seeing on play on TV. You’ll get a very different opinion about him when he plays right in front of you.

He was called out yesterday by fans and I thought I’d show you too Ozil’s stats, to see how well or badly he did.

The German international had four shots(just Walcott had more) with just one of them on target. During the game, Arsenal only got three shots on target.

Ozil completed 72 of his 80 passes(90%) but it was only Cazorla that expectedly out-passed him. He had 99 touches, which was the just worse than Bellerin, Mustafi and Cazorla’s.

Nobody made more passes in the attacking third, nor completed more, with 39 of his 44 successful.

He created one chance.

He won the ball back twice (Walcott won it back three times, as did Sanchez)

He made one interception, just one fewer than Mustafi and the same number as Walcott, Koscielny, and Bellerin.
