Having suffered several set back in signing Jamie Vardy among other targets, the Gunner have now turned their attention to other strikers who may be available this summer transfer window. Several strikers have been heavily linked to Arsenal, and one of the top names in the list of many and the Arsenal scouts is of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian striker scored 25 goals for Everton last term has joined the large pool of strikers linked with the North London club. Having previously played for London rivals Chelsea, the Blues are clear favorite to sign the big striker, as per the bookies. Top Bookie Betstars and Skybet has declared odds of Lukaku joining Chelsea and Arsenal at 12/5 and 11/4 respectively.
Its obvious Arsenal will be able to offer Romelu Lukaku something that the West London club will not which is the Uefa Champions League football next season. Chelsea will not be participating in any European organized club competition next season and while that is considered a hindrance, bookies still seem to think that the blues has more probability to sign him than the Gunners. Another factor could be Arsenal’s willingness to meet Everton’s asking price.
This will come as a big blow to Arsenal faithful’s who have been hoping their darling club will sign a goo goal poacher like Lukaku after failing to land Jamie Vardy, among other targets.
