The presence of quality players at Arsenal did not only bolster the squad but forced some of the players to be sent on loan.
Arsenal on-loan midfielder to Bournemouth Jack Wilshere has admitted that he is not interested in new Arsenal contract while he is on loan.
Wilshere left Arsenal on transfer deadline of the summer, joining Bournemouth on a season-long loan deal.
The 23-year-old has settled in quickly at Dean Court, starting eight of the last nine Premier League games for Eddie Howe’s side.
And despite approaching the final year of his contract with the Gunners, he has admitted he’s not thinking about it and is fully focused on his stint on the south coast.
“I don’t want to think about that at the moment because I want to go back having had a good season,” Wilshere told Sky Sports.
“Not just being fit, but I want to have an effect on the team.
“I want to improve as a player and go back at the end of May and they can say he’s a better player than when he left in September.
“I love Arsenal. I love the fans. The manager has been great to me and been a big part of my life from when I was 10 years old.
“I’ve got good friends there, players, the staff and people will laugh, but the physios too. I’ve become close with them.
“So I don’t want to say I’m never going to go back there but at the same time I’m not really thinking about that.
“My focus is helping Bournemouth climb the table and improving myself as a player.”
