Gary Neville put Piers Morgan in to place after his latest Twitter rant.
The Arsenal fan is not shy of making his feelings heard when it comes to the Gunners with frequent ‘Wenger Out’ posts and negative comments about the team.
The teams 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa was the latest excuse for Morgan to criticise Wenger, the club and the non-existent transfers. The team then travelled to Turkey in what looked to be a trick fixture against Fenerbahce with their Champions League future on the line.
The team put in a tremendous display to win 3-0, but Piers still found a way to dampen the mood by posting.
‘True Arsenal fans will be quadrupling the pressure on Wenger to buy big. Dumb ones will say tonight’s win means we don’t need to. #afc’.
Sky Sports pundit Neville thought it was time someone put Piers back in his place.
‘@piersmorgan and the normal ones will go to sleep happy, wake up got to work, come home to their kids and smile !’
It has been no secret that Arsenal need to spend and Wenger himself confirmed he would be entering the market between now and the end of the transfer window but Piers Morgan always believes he knows best. He will think twice when drying to flow negative comments on to a somewhat successful evening.
