Shocking – Wenger Reveals Why Sanchez Is Better Than Giroud

Beginning this season, Arsene Wenger has resorted to playing Alexis Sanchez as his striker and this has paid off as the Chilean has been in blistering form.

Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s EFL Cup game, Arsene Wenger has heaped high praises on the Chilean, hinting why he’s preferred him up front.

Sanchez is expected to be rested for the quarter-final clash but has played the majority of the Gunners’ campaign ahead of Olivier Giroud up front.

The Chilean forward has scored ten goals in 16 appearances in all competitions this term and Arsene Wenger is delighted with how he has performed in his new position.

‘He has the instinct of a real striker,’ Wenger told

‘He wants to hit you, he wants to go at you. When he gets the ball, he runs forward and he runs at any defender.

‘He shows, maybe sometimes to excess, that dribbling quality is an important quality for a striker.

‘It’s his game and you do not want to take that out of his game. His dribbling is provocative, it’s not retention, it’s provocative, to create damage.’
