Despite playing the most attractive and entertaining football in the Premier League, Arsenal have won less laurels than their rivals and have been accused of playing one too many passes over the years.
However, Arsene Wenger said he wouldn’t have it than he’s currently have it.
Speaking to NBC as he celebrates his 29th year at the helms for Arsenal, Wenger explained why he thinks all big clubs must have a style of play that is appealing to fans of the club.
“Do you win ugly? You cannot be a big club and say, ‘Look, friends, buy a season ticket because we want to win ugly,’ that will not go far,” he said.
“The big clubs need to have the ambition to win with style. People want to see an experience that fulfils them.
“We live in a period where it is only about winning at any costs.
“The best way to win is to play where everybody expresses their talent. In a team sport, it’s about developing the qualities and getting them to play in harmony.”
Everything Wenger has said is spot on and i think Jose Mourinho should learn from his French counterpart than using money to buy his way to glory.
