I’m not sure any Arsenal supporter would be over the defeat to Manchester City yesterday but we need to move on from that and focus on the next games.
However, former Arsenal star Thierry Henry has blasted Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez for holding the club to ransom with their huge contract demands.
The Gunners duo are in the final 18 months of their current deals and have been in renewal talks for several months.
Reports have claimed that Arsenal are willing to pay them around £200,000-a-week but both are pushing for more money.
While clubs in China can offer the pair close to £400,000-a-week.
But Arsenal’s record goalscorer Henry believes that though both players are key, they must achieve more to justify their demands.
He told Sky Sports: “Those two players are vital for the future of the club, they have to secure that deal. But to what extent?
“I don’t know if Arsene is going to want to pay those numbers. But if they don’t sign, who are you going to bring after that? What’s the future?
“At the moment they are holding the club hostage.
“They are amazing but if they are on that amount of money, I want a hat-trick every week – and also when there’s no game!
“You need to be in a situation where you’ve won something already for the club to ask for that amount of money.”
