Since this year began, Arsenal have struggled to win games and we expect a major overhaul to take place next summer.
Laurent Koscielny was the Arsenal player who confronted Alexis Sanchez after the Chilean stormed out of a training session last week, according to Robert Pires.
Sanchez was dropped to the bench for Arsenal’s defeat to Liverpool on Saturday and it later emerged that the forward was involved in a heated row with his team-mates just days before the trip to Anfield.
Arsene Wenger initially branded the story as ‘false’, but following Arsenal’s 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich on Tuesday evening, Pires, who often joins in the training sessions, admitted that an exchange between the players took players after Sanchez was on the receiving end of a heavy challenge.
‘He [Sanchez] decided to leave the field, something he should not have done,’ Pires told beIN Sports.
‘Then some players, including Laurent Koscielny because he is the captain, went to explain to him.
‘But it was a verbal exchange, he was only speaking.
‘They did not come to blows because they are grown-ups. They are professional and in the same boat.’
