Shocking Stats that shows Arsene Wenger may never win the Premier League

For a team to be able to win the Premier League, you must be able to have good outings against the top Premier League clubs.

The biggest problem for me at Arsenal, is the fact that Arsene Wenger has refused to evolve with the game and you could point to a myriad of reasons for us not winning the League.

But most tellingly of all has to be the Gunners’ absolutely dire record against their title rivals, and even more so when it comes to playing the big games away from home.

Goals from Santi Cazorla and Olivier Giroud gave Arsenal a 2-0 win at City in the 2014/15 season, and the year before that they earned a 1-0 win at Spurs courtesy of a Tomas Rosicky wondergoal.

But that’s all travelling Gooners have had to cheer about in these matches recently…just look at this list below and shudder at the utter ineptitude of Arsenal in crushing defeats at Anfield and Stamford Bridge in particular:

Arsenal’s last 17 games away vs top six

Manchester United 1-0 Arsenal
Manchester City 6-3 Arsenal
Liverpool 5-1 Arsenal
Tottenham 0-1 Arsenal
Chelsea 6-0 Arsenal
Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
Liverpool 2-2 Arsenal
Manchester City 0-2 Arsenal
Tottenham 2-1 Arsenal
Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal
Chelsea 2-0 Arsenal
Liverpool 3-3 Arsenal
Manchester United 3-2 Arsenal
Tottenham 2-2 Arsenal
Manchester City 2-2 Arsenal
Manchester United 1-1 Arsenal
Manchester City 2-1 ArsenalP17 W2 D6 L9 F22 A40

Arsenal can’t keep pointing to bad luck, injuries or refereeing decisions with a big-game record that bad, and many fans will surely be questioning once again if Wenger should really still be in the job after a sharp down-turn in fortunes in the second half of his reign.
