Arsenal confirmed deal for Hector Bellerin, after the Spaniard agreed a long term contract that will see him remain at the Emirates until 2023 – we now expect Wenger to pursue deals for Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil.
However, according to reports, Mesut Ozil and Alexis Sanchez have demanded £200,000-a-week in wages from Arsenal to sign new deals.
The aforementioned players are heading to the final 18 months of their contracts and Wenger risk losing them if they arn’t paid as much as their counterparts at other clubs.
And the Evening Standard report they’re both holding out for a big pay day to commit their long-term future to the London club.
Their report claims Ozil is set to follow in Hector Bellerin’s footsteps and sign a new deal, while Sanchez’s future is less clear.
Both players are currently on the transfer wish-list of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Juventus and this clubs are known for financial bullishness per transfers of players.
