Bordeaux star Malcom has confirmed that an agreement is in place to leave the club in the summer, amid heavy rumoured interest from many Premier League clubs.
The 20-year-old was keen to leave Les Girondins last month after The Gunners, and Tottenham Hotspur both reportedly made enquiries over his availability.
The manager Gus Poyet fought hard to keep his ace asset in place. However, the North London opponents are both believed to be still lining up offers and could be joined in the hunt by Manchester United.
Malcom respects Bordeaux for giving him a platform to showcase his talents in European football, however, wants to move on if a concrete offer is submitted at the end of the season.
“Yes, there was a promise that I will be negotiating in June, I will choose the team, and Bordeaux will let me go.
“I already said that I would have liked to leave this winter to meet new challenges. But I must also remember that Bordeaux helped me a lot.
“I gave my word to Bordeaux that I will continue [with the club] to be able to have more time to choose my future club. These next three or four months will make a big difference.” – He said
Malcom, comfortable performing in some attacking areas, has eight goals and six assists in 24 Ligue 1 outings this season.
