Arsenal were a shadow of themselves against PSG in a match that ended 2-2 in the Champions last Wednesday, and they have now thrown the opportunity to finish on top of Group.
As typical with Arsene Wenger, he has complained about the away goal hampering Arsenal’s progress in the Champions League.
Arsenal led the group from the start of the competition until they let their lead slid – we drew 1-1 at Parc des Princes and 2-2 at the Emirates.
The Frenchman believes this rule is unfair, and believes his side have done enough over the course of the campaign so far to win their group.
‘I wanted to finish first,’ he said.
‘It is not over but 90% PSG will finish top of the group on this “famous” away goal rule.
‘I have been against this for a while now.
‘In this case, we had two draws with them and the away goal is what will make the difference.’
