The manager of Arsenal, Arsene Wenger has subtly responded to Jack Wilshere claim that he is uncertain of his Arsenal future.
Wilshere completed a season-long loan move to Bournemouth on transfer deadline day after he fell down the selection perking order of Wenger’s midfield as a result of series of injuries he picked up.
Wenger was asked if Wilshere would return to the Emirates, Wenger smiled and was unequivocal with his response.
“I think he has, but that’s my opinion.”
Earlier this week, Wilshere revealed his omission from the England squad in August forced his decision to leave in the summer.
And he then admitted to being unsure about whether his future will be at Arsenal.
“I don’t want to think about that at the moment because I want to go back having had a good season – not just being fit, but I want to have an effect on the team,” he added.
“I want to improve as a player and go back at the end of May and they can say he’s a better player than when he left in September.
“I love Arsenal. I love the fans. The manager has been great to me and been a big part of my life from when I was 10 years old. I’ve got good friends there, players, the staff and people will laugh, but the physios too. I’ve become close with them.
“So I don’t want to say I’m never going to go back there but at the same time, I’m not really thinking about that. My focus is helping Bournemouth climb the table and improving myself as a player.”
