Serie A giants Roma are eyeing a move for Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech, according to the latest reports.
The Sun claims that Roma director Monchi is considering a potential move to bring in the 36-year-old after they lost Alisson to Liverpool in a £65million deal.
His agent Viktor Kolar recently issued an update on the situation: “It is always busy during every transfer window around Petr Cech, as a great Premier League person. However, he maximally focuses on the new season at Arsenal, no specific offer is available.”
Arsenal have already signed a potential new No.1 as Bernd Leno arrived from Leverkusen in a £22million deal.
Meanwhile, reports have emerged suggesting the Gunners are also in advanced talks with Borussia Monchengladbach keeper Yann Sommer over a possible €30m move.
Cech has already reportedly rejected a move to Napoli, while a possible return to Chelsea has been mentioned.
However, if Cech moved to Roma it is possible they would focus all their efforts on signing Jasper Cillessen from Barcelona with doubts surrounding the future of Thibaut Courtois.
