I suppose there’s nothing as good as having your best players wanting to remain at the club for a long period of time.
Arsenal were heavily involved in the transfer market of the summer and we are now looking to offer our key players contract extensions.
Report according to DailyStar is in the claim that Germany international Mesut Ozil and Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez are ready to demand new £250,000-a-week deals.
The aforementioned players are in the final two years of their existing contracts and the reports claims they were both offered offered improved terms worth £180,000-a-week respectively last season.
The players decided to put on hold all talks until this summer. Arsenal are now forced to meet the demands of the players if they must retain the poir in North London.
Ozil and Sanchez – and their representatives – are now said to see their individual market values in wage terms as closer to the £250,000-a-week mark.
It is understood that sanchez may settle for a lower wage if Arsenal agree to insert a release clause into his new contract.
Negotiations over the proposed deals are expected to resume later this month, when the aces return from international duty.
