Some news coming from Sweden this morning are that Arsenal has completed the signing of a defender who goes by the name Kristopher Da Graca. Kristopher according to the reports is putting pen to paper after undergoing a successful one week trial with the Gunners.
Arsenal youth a blog about Arsenal youngsters report that the promising player who came through the ranks at Sweden’s Gothenburg-based side Hisingsangen Backa had previously undergone trial with Tottenham as well as Chelsea and Aston Villa but has decided to sign on the dotted lines for the gunners ahead of the other clubs.
However, the player will not be able to sign a professional contract with the gunners until he is 16 and can be prised away by other clubs.
The player himself has confirmed the move saying : “It’s wonderful, it’s like a dream come true. I cannot describe how excited I am about this.”
The player can play as a centre as well as a defensive midfielder. He is likely to be eased slowly into the rigorous English league and not rushed. He is likely to be playing for the under 16 this season and maybe the under 18 when necessary.
Although the signing of Kristopher Da Graca is a good thing considering the fact that he may well be the next Lionel Messi but this is surely not a news that will delight Arsenal fans who are desperate to see their team signing big name signings which they were promised at the beginning of this summer.
