If reports coming from Italy are anything to be believed, Florentina and Napoli have droppe their interest in Brazilian and QPR goalkeeper Julio Cesar which has cleared the way for Arsenal to sign the experience shot stopper. The gunners have been linked to Cesar since the transfer window opened but no deal as been signed so sar. It was even rumoured at a stage that a deal had been agreed for the Brazilian before Arsenal and QPR reportedly broke down in negotiation.
Julio Cesar has according to reports told QPR manager Harry Redknapp that he is no longer willing to play for the London club, he is now according to the reports willing to move to Arsenal if the two London clubs can come to an agreement in fees.
Arsenal are in the market for a new goalkeeper as competition/cover for first choice Szczensy as Fabianski who is currently the second choice is not seen as reliable. His agent has reportedly told Arsenal that QPR are ready to sell the Brazilian for as cheap as 2 million and Cesar is also ready to take a pay cut to his current 80k per week deal in order to make it possible for him to move Arsenal.
