In what could be termed a sequential progress, Arsenal thumped Watford away from home earlier today. This is Arsenal’s first win of the season, coming after the Gunners lose and draw to Liverpool and Leicester City respectively.
Speakin after the game, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed the signing of Shodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez , both from La Liga clubs.
The signings of Mustafi and Perez represent a significant outlay for the club, with Mustafi reportedly involved in a deal worth in excess of £35million, according to the BBC, while Perez should cost £17m.
Wenger has been usually tight-lipped when it comes to the transfer of players and it is unusual for the manager to agree that players are signed unless we see them when they are unveiled.
