Arsenal and Denmark’s striker Nicklas Bendter has been pictured in Denmark undergoing an intensive training regime in his country Denmark as he bids to regain match fitness after Arsenal manager reportedly told him he needs to reduce his weight if he still want to play for Arsenal in the new season.
This much was revealed by Bendtner himself via his twitter account and to further buttress the claims, his personal trainer also told reports the under 25 year old striker is undergoing intensive training in Denmark as he tries to regain match fitness. He however added that there is not much work to be done before the striker is back to his best once again.
Although his Arsenal contract expires in the summer, there are reports that Wenger is considering offering him a new deal but provided if he manages to stay fit. Bendtner last scored for Arsenal on the 29th of December 2010 against Wigan Athletic who are now languish in England’s second division after been relegated last season.
Bendter spent last season on loan with Italian champions Juventus where he played a total of 9 times and scoring no goal. His last appearance for his national team was in 2012. He has since been banned by Denmark after he was caught drink driving.
