Injuries are really part of the game of football but injuries have adversely affected us in previous seasons.
We have been boosted by the return of Oliver Giroud from injury, who has been on the sideline as as a result of a toe injury he sustained in our Champions League game against Paris Saint Germain.
Giroud has returned to full training but has had to watch Alexis Sanchez play as the lead in attack, reducing the French player to the fringes – something, it could be argued, he was only ever purchased to be in the first place before circumstance conspired to make him #1 choice.
Speaking to the press after the 0-0 draw against Boro at the Emirates, Wenger said, “Giroud could be in the squad on Tuesday night. We have a game on Tuesday night here, so maybe he will be available to be in the squad on Tuesday.”
We have also been without Aaron Ramsey since the start o the season but Wenger revealed that he is 90percent it and so, we suspect that he’ll be handed a start along Lucas Perez, Carl Jenkinson and other players.
The Royals have won just one of their last five games, a 1-0 that came at the weekend when they travelled to Rotherham.
